DWELLSTEAD PROJECTS

CURRENT

We are currently working on projects in the City of Newburgh.

 

  • The residential portion of a 3 story row house on Lander is complete

  • The interior of the free-standing townhouse on Liberty is complete. We have moved in.

  • The row house on Grand Street that was probably once free-standing and is based on a Calvert Vaux #5 design has been stabilized and has an electric power supply restored.

 

There are many older buildings in need of rehabilitation and updating all across Newburgh, and each of them offers an opportunity for someone interested in and committed to urban homesteading. Ready to take the plunge but unsure where to start?  We can help.

This two family became dwellstead's 2nd project. As completion neared, Liz and Michael decided to call it home.

This three family with storefront became dwellstead's first
Newburgh project.

COMPLETED

The Cochecton project put Liz and Michael on the path that led them to the founding of dwellstead.

The Cooper Square project was born of necessity: Michael needed a cheap place to live and work in lower Manhattan of New York City. At the time, Michael's only building experience was helping his grandad around his parent's house. The loft evolved into a dream home.
